Congratulations are in order for Peloton instructor Jess King, who announced she’s pregnant with her first child during a recent live cycling ride. King shared the happy news with riders during her 30-minute house ride on May 7th, revealing that she and her fiancΓ©e, Sophia Urista, will welcome a “new Peloton baby” later this year. Before the live ride, King had teased it would be a “verrrrrry special” class on Instagram, and clearly she wasn’t referring to the upcoming playlist. The former professional dancer and So You Think You Can Dance finalist peddled along as she told riders her news. “Remember when I told you I had something special for you?” she asked. “Peloton, not only are these the DJs and the dance floors that I will be stepping onto this summer, but they will also be my baby’s first boogie. I’m pregnant!”

“Sophia and I are so excited to usher in this new energy β€” this new life into our home β€” and become mothers,” the instructor added. “My fertility journey was not easy.”

Though she didn’t elaborate during the ride, King shared more details about her fertility journey in a post-ride Instagram Live, according to Pelo Buddy. She reportedly revealed that the road to pregnancy has been a long one, and that she underwent two egg retrievals, two intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedures, and an embryo transfer. ICYDK: IVF is a treatment that involves retrieving eggs from the ovaries (egg retrieval) and inseminating them with sperm in a lab, and inserting a fertilized embryo into the uterus (embryo transfer), according to the American Pregnancy Association. IUI instead involves placing the sperm directly in the uterus, according to the Mayo Clinic.

King reportedly shared in the IG Live that she ultimately took a three-month break to focus on making “her body healthy and aligning her energy.” After changing doctors, trying acupuncture to help boost her chances, trying a fertility-boosting diet with supplements, going to sound meditation, as well as receiving womb massages, she did a third IUI procedure which worked, she revealed, according to Pelo Buddy. Though she said she felt “queasy” for the first two months, it seems she’s feeling better and is now ready to embark on motherhood with Urista, a singer-songwriter. (ICYDK, Ashley Graham also used acupuncture while trying to get pregnant.)

During her live ride, King addressed her fellow “fertility warriors” who have also struggled to become parents. “For the last year, unbeknownst to you, Peloton, you have been there for me in ways that are powerful and unspoken,” she said. “To all of my fertility warriors, I see you, I feel you, I love you. In fact, I love all of you. And this community is the true definition of family. And I hope you’ll join me in celebration because we have a new Peloton baby on the way!”

Plenty of King’s Peloton family congratulated the soon-to-be moms in the comments on King’s post. Kendall Toole, Kristin McGee, Robin Arzon, Olivia Amato, Hannah Corbin, Emma Lovewell, Selena Samuela, Leanne Hainsby, Jenn Sherman, Sam Yo, and Chelsea Roberts Jackson all showered King with congrats and heart emoji galore. “Cryyying!!! So so so happy for you mama πŸ˜β€οΈπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰,” fellow wrote soon-to-be first-time mom Anna Greenberg. King’s pal and fellow instructor Rebecca Kennedy shared a video montage of their sweetest moments together, writing, “Bestie is going to be a mama!! I can’t wait to welcome the newest member to the dance floor!!!! Congratulations to @ jesskingnyc & @sophiaurista – what a blessing!! Yesterday King shared a heartfelt message to fans and followers to thank them for all the love. “The overwhelming support and love you have all shown over the past 24 hours has been nothing short of incredible,” she wrote alongside two photos from the ride. “I am spent from crying tears of joy and receiving the love. Maybe it’s the hormones? Just know I see every message and comment, and I am thankful for each and every single one of you. It’s going to be a wild ride and I ‘m bringing you all with me. β™₯️”
